Customer Scanning Services

We provide an all inclusive scanning service from converting your slides/negatives to a digital format and writing them to CD or DVD.  We can use digital dust and scratch removal software while processing image if needed. Unlike most scanning services we do not restrict on the nature of the photographs to be scanned and customer Privacy is of the utmost importance to us.

Your negatives or slides will be treated with the same care as our own and we do the whole process in-house to ensure high quality scans. We will not batch scan your images like some services. This way we can be sure to get the best results from every one of your originals.

We have many years of experience using Nikon scanners and we are presently using several of Nikons latest Coolscan 9000 ED’s which gives us the ability to scan up to 4000dpi on 120/220, 35mm, 6 x 7, 6 x 9 positives, 16mm, electron microscope, 110 16mm  and other film formats. The 9000 ED uses a  3-line CCD image sensor and LED light source with rod dispersion which results in an enhanced image quality.

To give some idea how keen our prices are I can as an example explain that to scan 5 35mm slides takes just over 8 minutes, so thats roughly an hour to complete a 36 slide set and then we have to crop and adjust each one as needed.  There are quicker machines on the market but the quality reduces with the added scanning speed.

We are pleased to now offer the ability to scan those 110 negatives common in the 1970’s and 1980’s which are difficult to scan and near impossible to locate anyone able to scan them as the process is not in common use.  We can also scan 16mm cini film though we will have to cut cini fim into 20 frame strips for scanning.

We have received a lot of emails asking what methods we use to scan 110 negatives.  As it has taken us a long time to perfect this scanning method we prefer to keep the details in-house.

Simply send your negatives and slides to our PO Box address, enclosing payment made payable to ‘Slideintime’ we will then process the order and return within 7 days in our own self addressed box
